2009 SCYA Midwinter Regatta

Mark Ryan won the final race with Bob Yates finishing second - that one point margin is what decided which of the two teams won.

From Rich Robert's first day regatta report (posted on the Alamitos Bay YC website), it was "Gloomy and as windless as the bottom of a well."  A check of the weather report confirms the top wind speed for the day was about 5mph.  But it was a warm 5mph (lol) - as temperatures peaked at about 70 degrees.  And yes, that's snow on the the mountains in the photos below.

Despite the light winds, the Lido 14 fleet finished four races on Saturday.

Sunday seemed only slightly better in terms of wind speed.
