The Emerald Cup Regatta is one of the highlights of the Pacific Northwest Lido 14 racing schedule and it usually draws teams representing all the fleets in the region - and it did so once again in 2010. John Papadopoulos (Newport Beach, CA) and Nikki DeRelle (Seattle, WA) teamed up after a seven year hiatus to not only win the Lido 14 division of the regatta but the overall Emerald Cup award too. This makes three years running that John has won the Lido 14 division and two years in a row that the the winner of the Lido 14 division has also won the Emerald Cup. The Emerald Cup is awarded based on scores and the size of the division - which means that credit really belongs with all those that raced in the Lido 14 division because without them, it would have been impossible for a Lido 14 team to win the award.
